I am a high energy person who loves to entertain children! I have always been a big kid myself so I am able engage directly with the children to get them excited about science. The great thing about 'The Imagination Experience', is that science is truly appealing to both boys and girls. They are my focus, but I include the parents too if they want to join in. Science is FUN for everyone. You don't have to be a kid to enjoy the magic!
HOW THE IMAGINATION EXPERIENCE WAS BORN
I was in the Police Force for fifteen years and after dealing with so much crime and unpleasantness, I decided I needed a change for the better!
One night I was organising some science experiments to do with my seven year old son the next day. When we did them together, I was blown away by how much he loved them and how many questions he asked me about science. This is where 'The Imagination Experience' was born. I knew that I wanted to show science to kids through interactive experiments and in doing so, make learning fun.
I want to inspire kids to connect with and perhaps pursue a career in science, one of the most important fields for the future. You never know, they may be inspired to grow up and discover a cure for a disease or go on to space travel at the speed of light.
My biggest goal is to get the kids talking about the science they have experienced, to plant that seed of curiosity and encourage the journey into the sciences.
