FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
PROFESSOR BOOM HAS THE ANSWERS!
What area/space will I need for the party?
Our science is best performed inside as some of the experiments need a still enviroment, this means that we are able to go ahead regardless of the weather. We can adapt to almost any space you have available but any average sized lounge is ample for us to do our show.
How do I know you will be available on the dates I require?
Please check our calendar for available dates for your event. If we appear to be booked please get in touch, as dates can change and we may be able to find another time or date that works for you.
How do I make a booking?
Go to our booking page and select the booking form most relevant to your event. Please fill out the details on the booking form and submit. We will be in touch as soon as possible to confirm your event date. Please note we require a $100.00 deposit to secure your booking.
How do I pay?
We will ask you to make your deposit via internet banking with the balance being paid in full, either by internet banking or cash on the day of the event. At this stage we do not accept credit card payments.
How old does my child have to be for this party?
For Birthday Parties we cater for children 5 to 15 years of age. For youngsters, parental assistance will be required for some of the experiments that need a gentle touch.
When will the Professor arrive for the party?
We will arrive 30 minutes before the start of the entertainment so we can see the area we will be working in and have time to setup.
Are the experiments safe?
Yes! We take safety very seriously and all experiments are supervised closely. As safety is of paramount concern, precautions are taken to ensure the children never handle harmful materials. Safety glasses are also provided when required.
How far will you travel?
Currently we travel from Papakura to Albany, with locations further North or South requiring an additional travel fee of 90 cents per kilometre (return trip).
What happens in bad weather?
Most of our experiments can be performed indoors. Every effort will be made to conduct all the experiments but should unforeseen weather conditions make an experiment unable to be done, it will be substituted with another amazing experiment!
Will we need to provide anything?
A table to use, access to water and access to power.
